Bartow Gatewood Park

Bartow Gatewood Park

Located east of Cartersville and north of the Allatoona Dam, Bartow Gatewood Park offers numerous amenities for visitors of Lake Allatoona, as well as the locals.

For those interested in camping at the park, there are lake-side sites with hookups, sites near the lake with hookups, and primitive sites.  All sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis; and lake-side sites usually book up quickly during good weather in the summer. Unlike the other campsites around the lake, there is no minimum length of stay required on weeekends or holidays. Dogs are allowed, provided their shots are up to date and they are kept on a leash that is 6' or less.

The park's amenities include:

  • picnic shelters & group pavilions
  • camping
  • hookups
  • showers
  • trailer dump station
  • boat ramp
  • playground
  • grills & tables
  • water
  • swim area
  • restrooms
  • coin laundry
  • shoreline fishing
