TELLUS: Northwest Georgia Science Museum

tellus.jpgOpening in White, Georgia in late 2008, TELLUS will encompass 120,000 square feet and will be devoted to educate, inspire and engage its visitors about science. It will include various collections, hands-on/minds-on experiences and Georgia connections. Galleries will include a Weinman Mineral Gallery, a Fossil Gallery, a Collins' Family My Big Backyard Gallery, and a Science in Motion Gallery. It will also feature the only fully digital planetarium in north Georgia that is open to the regular public. Additionally, there will be an observatory and a great hall that includes a full scale cast of an 80 foot Apotosaurus dinosaur.
