The Rose Lawn Museum is located in Cartersville, Georgia. It is a beautifully restored Victorian mansion and was listed to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Once home to the nationally renowned evangelist, Samuel Porter Jones, it was purchased by Bartow County in 1978 and is currently a museum that houses the writings and memorablia of Bartow residents Sam Jones and Rebecca Latimer Felton.
Sam Jones was the evangelist for whom Nashville's Union Gospel Tabernacle was built and Rebecca Latimer Felton was the first woman to serve in the US Senate.
The musuem features special exhibits and is home to the Rose Lawn Arts Festival that takes place every September.
Tours take place Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 12 pm and then from 1pm to 5pm. Special events are scheduled by appointment only.
