The Visitor Center Loop is a 3/4 mile moderate hike that begins one hundred yards down Sweetgum Trail from Red Top Mountain State Park Visitor Center's parking area. The Visitor Center Loop bears a sharp right where the Sweetgum Trail bears a sharp left. The trail winds through a shaded hardwood forest, and includes a small spring-fed stream and two viewing/relaxation platforms.
