Vineyard Mountain Eagle Scout Trails

Vineyard Mountain Eagle Scout Trails are accessible from the Riverside Day Use Park and Red Top Mountain Road at the Bethany Bridge pull off. The three trails that make up the Vineyard Mountain Eagle Scout Trails include:

  • the blue trail: a moderate 1/2 mile hike
  • the red trail: a strenuous 1 mile hike
  • the yellow trail: a moderate 5 mile hike

These trails go through the forested slopes of Vineyard Mountain. The trails offer beautiful views of the Etowah River, Allatoona Dam, the Cooper's Furnace Historic Area and Allatoona Lake. In the spring, enjoy blooming dogwood, native azalea, mountain laurel and redbud. During the autumn enjoy the spectacular colors of autumn. Enjoy the native wildlife all seasons, including deer, turkey, fox, bobcat, squirrel, rabbit, hawks, blue jays, songbirds, crows and the occasional bald eagle.

For more information, call the US Army Corps of Engineers Allatoona Lake Operations Project Management Office at 678-721-6700.
