Sweetgum Trail is a 3 1/2 mile moderate hike that begins at Red Top Mountain State Park Visitor Center's parking area. It turns north for 1/2 mile, loops through the lodge area, then returns to the 1/2 mile section that takes you back to the Visitor's Center. The 1/2 mile section includes a self-guided interpretive stops. Brochures for the self-guided interpretive section are available at the Visitor's Center, Resource Office or Lodge.
