Etowah Trail

Etowah Trail

Etowah Trail is a hiking only trail that is  5 miles long, of moderate  difficulty, and managed by the city of Canton.  It begins in the Rock Creek Estates Subdivision and connects to Boling Park. The trail gradually descends to the Etowah River.  At the river, the trail sharply bears right onto the deserted Canton-Sutalle Road, which parallels the river.  After leaving the river, the trail follows the roadbed cut and gently climbs until crossing a dirt road.  From the dirt road, the trail braids through many valleys and ridge tops before it reaches its final destination, New Hightower Church.  There are a variety of plants and wildlife that can be enjoyed throughout the trail.
