Two Cobb County High School Students drowned on Lake Allatoona on Friday, May 2nd.

The two students, aged 15 and 18, died at Red Top Mountain Park while trying to swim across a 100-yard wide channel. The older student started to have trouble and the younger one died while trying to rescue him.

A man in his early 20s drowned in the same area of the park about a year ago. The area is about two miles east of I-75.
